Originally from Northern Ireland, I moved to Ayrshire in 1993, where I’m happily remarried to Lee and the mother of four grown up children off on their own adventures.
I’m a coach, workshop facilitator, speaker, writer, poet, teacher, journaling expert, and a lover of words and reading, dogs and cats, and walking in the hills or by the seaside. I have a BA in Human Resource Management with Distinction, trained in Thomas PPA, am a Chartered Member of the CIPD, an NLP Master Practitioner, and a certified Master Ericksonian Hypnotherapist. I’m also the social media manager for Women Aloud NI, the social media co-ordinator for The Federation of Writers Scotland, and a Scottish Poetry Library Ambassador.
My career has been mainly in HR and management because I love working with people to encourage personal change and development. In the last twelve years, I’ve used my skills in the coaching and transformation on staff at all levels in a business, with individuals – and on myself.
I’m able to quickly build trust and rapport with clients in person or by telephone or Skype, and in my workshops, where I create the space and ask the questions that allow them to find their own answers.
If you’re like me, you’ve felt stuck and made mistakes – but there is no such thing as failure (only feedback) – and it’s what happens next that matters. Even if it’s a tiny step.
I believe that it’s never too late to be who you want to be, or live the life you want, and I am passionate about empowering others to transform and change what isn’t working, or move out of their comfort zones.
I dare you to be happier by supporting you as you work through change, reduce stress and anxiety by helping you find balance, and in reconnecting with what makes you happy.
My main focus is on the gentle and therapeutic power of journaling to access and deal with emotions, to move from a place of limitiation and fear to a positive outlook in life by harnessing your own wisdom, and for you to authentically and powerfully take control of your life.
